This page describes the Funding Application Criteria used by the Association to provide grants to organisations, events and individuals in Galloway, and how to apply.

FUNDING APPLICATION CRITERIA
As shown in the Activities Page of the Association Web Site, the Galloway Association of Glasgow can provide grants to organisations, events and individuals in the Galloway region of Scotland.

Applications are restricted to the Galloway region therefore applications from outside the Galloway region are not eligible and cannot be accepted.

Applications of a commercial nature will not be funded.

WHAT TYPE OF APPLICATION WILL BE FUNDED?
Any application of a non-commercial nature may be eligible, but preference is given to projects that support the youth of Galloway or help the cultural development of the region or the re-generation of communities within the region.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Any non-commercial organisation that requires funding to assist in the implementation of applications that meet the criteria and objectives outlined above.

HOW MUCH FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Whilst there are no specified upper or lower limits, the annual sums for disbursement are not large. The Trustees will review any reasonable request.

WHEN TO APPLY?
Applications are accepted throughout the year and are considered at the regular bi-monthly meetings of Trustees.

GRANT CONDITIONS?
One of the conditions of receiving a grant is that you acknowledge the contribution that the Association has made to your project. You must acknowledge the grant in relevant publicity material, such as websites, leaflets, posters, exhibition catalogues, guidebooks, adverts and press releases. If your organisation has a website or web pages that give details of your project, this is an ideal place to acknowledge the Association with a link to our website www.gallowayassoc.org.uk.

HOW TO APPLY?
Applications must be made using the appropriate Funding Application Form - there is one Form to be used by Organisations and a simpler Form for Individuals. These Forms can be downloaded from the Association Web Site, or can be obtained from the Association Secretary, whose address is highlighted in the Contact Page of the Web Site.

The Form must be completed in full, with all required figures shown. Any gaps in information will result in delays in the Trustees considering the application and may lead to rejection.  Returning the Form electronically by email will help process the application more speedily.
